Description
Johnson Controls TL280 firmware before 5.63 contains a weak cryptographic implementation vulnerability that allows network attackers to decrypt sensitive communications by exploiting AES-ECB mode with a fixed default key and no replay protection in the ITv2 protocol. Attackers who observe the initial handshake can recover the negotiated session key to decrypt arm/disarm PIN codes, installer programming codes, and sensor events, and can replay captured disarm commands to silently disarm the panel without any credentials.
